Volunteering

Oasis Academy Short Heath aims to be more than just a school. We aim to become a true learning hub in the community we serve. To make this a reality, we include and involve as many members of the community as possible in what we do.  Already, we have links with many local organisations.

We believe that everyone in the community has a role to play in taking Oasis Academy Short Heath to the outstanding educational environment for our students that we strive to be. It doesn’t matter how much or little time you have available, or whether you are a parent or not. If you live near the Academy and want to make a real difference in your community, we would welcome your help.
 

There are many ways you can get involved, including:

• Joining the Academy Council - see our Academy Council page for more information.
• Helping with after-school clubs.
• Mentoring students.
• Reading with our EAL students to help them to develop their literacy skills.
• Friends of Oasis
