Global Partnerships

Oasis responds to the local needs of 51 communities across the globe, which requires an enormous amount of support and resource. 

Global partnering is one of the ways our academies can support the varying needs of country specific programmes. From providing funds and gifts in kind, to arranging visits during the holidays to offer more hands-on help.

Oasis Academy Short Heath are partnered with the work of Oasis India in Punganur. 

Punganur is located in the Chittoor district of Andhra Pradesh and is the only rural hub that Oasis India runs. The project site is in between the two metros of Chennai and Bengaluru which are nearly 230km and 140km away, respectively. Oasis runs a community hub in Punganur which focusses on the development of women, children and youth at our Potter’s Wheel campus. The different activities run at Potter’s Wheel include a Computer training center, Recreation/Sports Centre, Library/Literacy Centre, spoken English training and Tuition. Potter’s Wheel hub hopes to start tailoring, day care for disabled children as well as organic farming shortly. The Punganur hub welcomes everyone from Punganur itself and the surrounding villages to utilise the resources and services. It helps them to develop various skills and to seek better employment opportunities.
