Here at OA Little Explorers, our family of staff passionately strive to make sure that our children have the best possible start in their education.

We endeavour to make sure that staff, children, and their parents or carers, all work together to create a high-quality Early Years environment which is welcoming, safe, inspiring and, is a place where children can grow in confidence and become life-long active learners.

Session times 

We have up to 60 part or full-time places for 3-4 year-olds in our Nursery. 

All children, the term after they turn three are eligible to 15 hours of free Nursery provision. For the pre-school cohort year group, we provide this from 9:00- 12:00 every morning, with an opening window from 8:50-9:00 for you to drop off your child.

For children who turn 3 between 1^st September and 31^st March, they are able to join our Pre-School as a Rising 3 the term after they turn three. Their sessions run every afternoon from 12:15-3:15.

Full-time provision is from 9:00- 3:15. The opening window to drop off your child is from 8:50 and collection will be at 3.15pm promptly.

We also request that parents or carers pick up their children on time. If you are running late or have a problem, do get in touch with us as soon as you can by telephone and we will do our best to support you. 

Start Dates

The children start at the academy in a small group, which enables staff to really support them to make relationships. It also helps them to learn the new routines and expectations with us. Many of our children start the September but we also admit children throughout the year. We value every child for their individuality and know that each child will settle into the Academy in their own way, so we work closely together to ensure a smooth transition.

Staffing

Whilst having a stimulating setting is important, having the right staff is paramount!  With this in mind, we are very fortunate to have an exceptional team of highly dedicated Nursery Practitioners.
